Sensei Keith Henson
Sensei Keith has been training in judo for well over thirty years and is Yondan (4th dan) Black belt in Judo and Sandan (3rd Dan) in Kendo. Sensei Keith is an Area Coach and National Refferee for both Judo and Kendo, and is Bushido Zazen International Society's Development officer for Kendo. Sensei Keith is proud to be the longest serving student of Sensei Charles Fletcher (Hachidan) 8th Degree black belt. Since moving to Somerset he opened Shidokai Judo Dojo in 2004.
Sensei Gary Heaton
Sensei Gary 3rd Dan Black Belt started his Judo in Shirebrook in Nottinghamshire in 1984 and though he has stayed with one Instructor for most of the time since he has trained under many teachers the most important being Sensei Charles Fletcher 8th Dan Black Belt Sensei Gary's Favorite techniques are any shoulder throw or Hani Goshi (maybe due to his very low centre of gravity). His first Instructors appointment was at The Dukeries Recreation Centre in Nottinghamshire. He enjoys the coaching aspect of Judo as well as still enjoying being dragged around the mat.
Sensei Victoria Hayden (Vicky)
Sensei Victoria is a Second Dan Black Belt and recently became an Instructor at Shidokai Judo Dojo. Sensei Vicky travels from Reading on Fridays in order to train with us and we are lucky that we can benifit from her experience and long may it continue!She brings with her a wealth of contest techniques as well as an ever growing knowledge of Judo Kata
Sensei James Clarke
Sensei James has been away from judo for a while and joined our team of instructors recently James is a first dan black belt and will be an asset to the dojo.
Louise Kirby
Louise is Assistant Instructor in the Dojo having recently passed her 1st Kyu in Judo.
Louise is taking an extended break from training until after she has given birth to her TWINS
Senpai Steve Delve
Steve has now taken the role as Senpai (Senior grade) of Shidokai Judo Club its a role Steve fits into very well as he always sets a very good example to all other students senior and junior
